- Sellable quantity is not the same as total units shown across every inventory state.
- Stranded inventory needs the underlying listing or offer issue resolved.
- Unfulfillable units should be reviewed for removal, disposal or other available action.
- Repeated stock-outs can affect sales momentum and advertising efficiency.
Stranded inventory
Inventory can become stranded when units are in FBA but the offer cannot be sold because of a listing, pricing, account or catalogue issue. Review the reason shown in Seller Central and fix the underlying issue rather than only watching the quantity.
Reserved and inbound inventory
Reserved units may be tied to customer orders, transfers or fulfilment-centre processing. Inbound units have been shipped toward Amazon but may not yet be sellable. These states should not be treated exactly like immediately available inventory.
Unfulfillable inventory
Damaged or otherwise unfulfillable units require attention. Review the reason and the actions available in the account, including removal or disposal where appropriate.
Low stock and stock-outs
Track days of cover, sales velocity and inbound lead time. If advertising is active, inventory planning should be coordinated with campaign activity so demand is not accelerated into an avoidable stock-out.
